Er ist nach <a href="Clinton_Davisson" title="Clinton Davisson">Clinton Davisson</a> und <a href="Lester_Germer" class="mw-redirect" title="Lester Germer">Lester Germer</a>, den Entdeckern der Elektronenbeugung, benannt. Der Preis ist mit 5000 Dollar dotiert (2007).
